A full-size mural for the Sports Pavilion at Menlo College, approved by the college and building on the letters and sky from Exit Row Chi. I’m designing it, and I’ll paint it with a muralist: letters first, then colour, then the wall. The sketch page is where it started; the canvas studies are how it’ll get scaled up. Taking a design from a page to a wall is the same problem as taking a flat to a garment: the proportions have to survive the jump.
